Job application form sometimes does nothing on submit

Hello,
we are currently using Job Postings version 2.7.12.
We deliberately stayed on this version because in newer releases we ran into issues with the email From header, which caused problems with our mail setup. With 2.7.12 the From header behaves correctly for us.However, we are repeatedly getting feedback from applicants that they cannot submit their application via the job application form. The reported behavior is always similar: they fill out the form, click the Apply / Submit button, and then nothing happens. There is no error message, no success message, and no redirect.
The issue is difficult for us to debug because we cannot reproduce it ourselves. We have tested the application form extensively using multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari), on desktop and mobile devices, and the form submits correctly in all our tests.
Because of this, we suspect the issue might be related to:
- specific browser versions (possibly older Safari / WebKit versions),
- certain user environments or configurations,
- or a known bug that only occurs under specific conditions.
Our question:
Have you received similar reports in the past, or are you aware of any issues in or around version 2.7.12 where the submit button can appear clickable but the form submission does not trigger at all?Any hints, known issues, or debugging suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
