Joomla to WordPress

Hi I run a joke site and I’m currently using joomla. But I’m thinking of moving to wordpress. I’m looking for a little guidance in setting up my test wordpress site. I’ve already imported all my content and categories over into my wordpress and now I’m trying to figure out the correct way to display it in wordpress.

In my joomla site I have a menu that links to my category jokes which takes users to a listing of my jokes starting with the latest. I’m looking to start by doing the same thing with wordpress but I’m hoping to work up from there and use tags to allow people to narrow down to a type of joke.

Any help would be much appreciated.
