    Hi @modemlooper

I tried your plugin and works awesome!!! is far better than BuddyPress Activity Stream Hashtags by rich @etiviti (no longer supported) but I’m getting a jquery conflict (I think is jquery) with Pointelle slider. This was solved in @etiviti’s plugin by and option in the plugin to disable the hashtags on main blog and enabling it just in activity streams.

Is it possible to do this with your plugin? or better to do something with the conflict?

You can see the conflict here

By the way, if You have @etiviti’s plugin activated and activate yours, you get a blank page. Maybe a note to deactivate that plugin before activate yours will help some people.

Thanks for your work and time!

Hi @modemlooper and thanks for your quick reply

I’m still getting the error, this is what I get in Chrome Console:

    Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected string

Is this just for me? maybe a direct conflict with pointelle slider?

I can see Pointelle slider is using a class named hashtag and maybe that is the conflict.

    Thanks for your time!

maybe. i dont have access to that plugin so I cant test

Now I see what is happening, your plugin converts all the words around the site with a # before the word to a hashtag. Pointelle slider uses # for something in slide names and that is why the slide breaks.

The solution: With plugin organizer, turn off hashbuddy for home page. Now everything is ok.

Thanks again for your time and for your excellent work!

I’m going to have code only run on activity pages so that should fix it

For my is fixed now but thanks for taking account it. I just have a doubt, better two:

    1. The hashtags already can be used in wp comments, I mean the words with a # before became a link but doesn’t work as a hashtag. Is it possible to do that? it would be more friendly to users and very useful.

    2. If You do what You said in your last comment, the words in the site won’t be hashtags.

Said this if it were possible, I think is better to convert words in all the site with a # before in a hashtag.

PS: where can I ask You a question about buddymobile pro?
