Hi there
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
I’ve taken a look at your site and it appears a JavaScript error is originating from Easy Facebook Likebox which is likely affecting your maps from being displayed on the page.
Please try deactivating this plugin and let me know if the issue persists?
Hi,
Thanks for the great plugin.
I have the same issue here : http://www.soccermontreal.org/contact/contact-page/
Error: Your version of jQuery is outdated. WP Google Maps requires jQuery version 1.7+ to function correctly. Go to Maps->Settings and check the box that allows you to over-ride your current jQuery to try eliminate this problem.
I tryed to deactivate several plugins, it did not work…
Thanks!
Dear Jarryd,
It works after I deactivate the Easy Facebook Likebox!
However, I would like to keep both plugin. Is there any recommendation?
Great plugin btw.
Thanks!
Hi @chleray
I’ve taken a look at your site and it appears that jQuery is being loaded twice on the page which is causing the error on your map.
Please navigate to your theme’s functions.php file and see if you can find a reference to jQuery 1.7.1. If so, please comment this line out and let me know if this helps?
@wongmsm Would you mind re-activating it so that I can look further into the error and see if we can resolve it for you?
Hi Jarryd,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked my functions.php file and I don’t see anything about jQuery…
Do you want I send the code?
Thanks!
Hi there
Thank you for your feedback.
Please take a look in the header.php and footer.php and let me know if anything comes up in there?
So sorry for the back and forth on this.
Hi,
Sorry, I don’t find anything in header.php and footer.php
Is this normal?
The plugin is activated.
Thanks,
@wongmsm – please contact the developers of that plugin as they would need to fix the error. Any JS error stops all other plugins JS code from executing which therefore stops our plugin’s code from working properly.
@chleray – please consider contact the author of your theme and asking them to help disable their call of jQuery. I know that many themes put an option for this in their theme’s settings page within wp-admin – have you had a look around there for a possible setting that can disable the loading of jQuery? Alternatively, please go through all of the theme’s functions files and look for any reference of jQuery being loaded and simply comment that line out.
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your reply. I will contact the author of the theme.
Regards,
Hi @chleray,
Thank you for the feedback.
Have a great day.
