you seem to have JS/ CSS minification also on in WP Rocket, disable it there to avoid conflicts with Autoptimize. at that point jQuery should re-appear 🙂
Thanks for your quick reply! I forgot to disable WPRocket, have done it now but problem still exists.
There should be no more other caching or minimize plugin running.
afraid I still see wp rocket active cherrycoding ?
Ok I deleted the plugin and cleared the cache, can’t find any wprocket file in the code now.
The strange thing is it also happens on my live site, but there I have disabled js minify at the moment because of this problem and I never had there any plugin like wprocket, it was just here for testing.
can you share the contents of the JS optimization exclusion field?
wp-includes/js/dist/, wp-includes/js/tinymce/, js/jquery/jquery.js
This is what I have at the moment, also tried it with
wp-includes/jquery/jquery.js
now that’s weird, that _should_ work … can you try excluding some other file (e.g. woocommerce/assets/js/frontend/add-to-cart.min.js) to see if that works? and maybe clear autoptimize’s cache while you’re at it?
Have added the add-to-cart file but I think the exclusion doesn’t work for me in general… even if there is a problem with my server config which I can’t belive because I am running a few other sites on this server with AO it should work on the live server which has another config
I have also deleted the plugin right now and reinstalled it

cherrycoding.
I’ve not seen exclusions not working before .. do you have a non-production site where you could disable all other plugins/ switch to another theme to rule out conflicts at that level?
Tested it with each plugin, the problem is Ninja popup I think so, if I disable it, the error is gone
Arghhhhh, I suppose they’re using the API to override the JS exclusions and are doing so the wrong way :-/
Given it’s a premium plugin (right?); contact them and ask them to fix it?
Yeah I will do that, thanks for your help!
Your support is very good
you’re welcome, feel free to leave a review of the plugin and support here 🙂
and do follow up here if/ when you get feedback from the ninja popups team!
