    Hello,

I’ve been using Reduced Bounce Rate for quite a while, but in cleaning up some other errors in my page, I also found the following:

analyticsjs.js:1 Uncaught ReferenceError: ga is not defined
    at analyticsjs.js:1
    (anonymous) @ analyticsjs.js:1

So I disabled RBR, solved my other non-related issue, and re-enabled RBR. That’s when I noticed my bounces jumped from a very consistent 8%-15% (which now I learn may be a bit low) to the high 80% range.

I noticed when I go into RBR settings and select ga.js the js error goes away, but I’m fairly certain my bounces remain in the high 80% range.

Is there something that I’m completely missing in my settings?

    Hi,

I went to you homepage and looked with Chrome. I didn’t see any errors in the console. To me it looks like everything is OK. You should be getting a bounce rate way lower than 80%.

Thank you for your reply. I also don’t see that “Uncaught Reference Error” any longer, either. Which is strange, when I first posted it had an error count for that in the console at 90 and counting!

I’ll bet in a few days then the bounce rate will normalize again. Thanks again for the plugin and for the response.

When you go to Analytics, under Real Time -> Events if there is the Time event for at least 75% of your current people online then everything should be fine and tomorrow the bounce rate should be low.
