Just wanted to add some further information as I have not discovered a solution to this on my own.
1. This is a fresh install of WordPress
2. I deactivated all plugins and themes except for the latest WordPress theme, cleared my cache but the error continued.
3. I have five other websites using this plugin (free version) on the same shared server (same version of PHP) which don’t give the error.
4. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it again and still, it gave the error.
I’ve since deactivated it and tried a different SEO Plugin which doesn’t give the error.
We apologize for any inconvenience. Where do you exactly see the notice? Do you see it on the front end part of the site or anywhere else? Can you please share a relevant screenshot in which you highlight the relevant notice so that we can take a look at it?

Hi,
We’ve just upgraded to PHP 7.2.23 and I see the same message on the front end of the site:
Warning: Use of undefined constant JSON_UNESCAPED_SLASHES – assumed ‘JSON_UNESCAPED_SLASHES’ (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /u01/astigan/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-utils.php on line 1164
WordPress 5.2.4, all plugins up to date.
Yoast: Version 12.3
Theme: Twenty Seventeen
Please help,
Thanks,
Jon

I have a client website with this problem. I wish I had a solution. Here’s a screenshot of the error:
The referenced PHP file has only 453 lines of code, so getting to line 1164 is problematic.
WordPress = 5.2.4
Yoast = 12.4
PHP = 7.0
