• Hi

I have admin access to the joomla environment (but not the hosting env), but I imported the database on my server. Connections are established

I just want to import dozens of old Posts as history keeping from an old joomla site. No Users, no menus.

    Some problems:

    • Many posts are being imported with existing names: When I want to view them, the original existing page opens.
    • In Joomla many picture galleries are being handled by a site module: They are not being imported at all. How can I solve this?
    • The import needs to be restarted several times (Gateway error 504 after 2-3 minutes)… Then it stopped at 74% and stated ‘Import completed’

I don’t understand. Could you explain this issue?

    Which module do you use?

The “Gateway Timeout” error means that the connection between your browser and the WordPress server has been interrupted.
It should not prevent the import from going on.

To check if the import is going on, you can refresh the migration plugin screen to see if the number of imported data increases or not.
If it stops increasing, you can click on the button “Start / resume the import” to resume the import where it left off.

Thank you for the fast reply:

It seems posts are imported and if they have the same title as existing pages, they’d be imported with the same name, but the page is being opened if clicked (‘edit’ opens imported post, ‘view’ opens existing page) eg “mydomain.com/test”

The picture gallery used is ‘Widgekit’

Yes, I had to resume several times, but still it stops at 74% and states ‘completed. Is it because I left out the users and menus?

Widgetkit is not supported but we could develop an add-on to migrate these data.

For your other issues, could you please open a ticket on https://www.fredericgilles.net/support/ ? And we will investigate.
