    Hello @cs1734 ,

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.

Hummingbird has many options that can help with site speed, maybe we can suggest something if you could share your site URL?

    kind regards,
    Kasia

    Hi @cs1734,

Thanks fort he link, I’ve checked your page scores and seems that the biggest issue at the moment is with the file optimization and caching values for those files.

Let’s start with the Browser Caching, can you check under Hummingbird > Caching > Browser Caching that the caching values are set to 1 year?
If not, try following the instructions to set browser caching and if you get any errors or the values are not updating try getting in touch with your hosting provider to increase browser caching for you.
Thing is that the Browser Caching is something that is defined on the server itself and Hummingbird will try to override the settings with .htaccess rules if the site is running on Apache, but it still requires that the server is allowing this changes to be made.

As for the file optimization, have you configured the optimization under Hummingbird > Asset Optimization panel?
This can be a bit tricky as some files don’t handle optimization properly and can affect the site functionality.
My suggestion is to enable advanced mode and enable all of the settings for 5 files at once and check your site after that.
If there are no issues go with next 5 files and repeat until you have most of your files optimized.
If you do encounter problems, then disable the optimization one by one for those 5 files until you find which one is having issues, and leave that file unoptimized.

This could be timely and might seem like a complex task but this kind of control over file optimization allows you to squeeze the most out of your site performance.

    Cheers,
    Predrag
