• I recently discovered that the button at the bottom of my homepage will not work on computers but works fine on mobile devices. If you go to the About Us page, the button on there works fine across all platforms. I haven’t updated either of these pages so nothing has recently changed on my end. Any idea what could be causing this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, can you share the shortcode you are currently using?

I also see the following error message in your site.

The SSL certificate used to load resources from https://www.paypal.com will be distrusted in M70. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading these resources. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information.

    Thank you

I followed the Chrome link and tested my site on their new app and my page still comes up the same with no errors. I just might need to update the SSL certificate to something new.

The shortcode is what I’m using for the other page which is [paypal-donation].

Whenever my mouse hovers over the Donation button, it doesn’t change from the arrow and has a “working” circle keep coming up like it’s trying to access it and it’s not working.

Hi, there is definitely something wrong with that page. I think some HTML and css is causing issues and conflicting with the plugin. You should check the whole code in that page.

    Kind regards

Why do you say something is definitely wrong? I don’t think there is any html code, unless it’s from a plugin. The only thing I’ve changed is that I just updated my plugins. I haven’t changed or added any code.

Hi, try the following. Create a test page but don’t publish this page. Add the plugins shortcode and view it. Let me know if it works or not.

There are times that pages and post become corrupted. I am not saying your page is corrupted however I am carrying out a process of elimination.

The reason why I am saying this is because of the following comment.

The shortcode is what I’m using for the other page which is [paypal-donation].

If the above shortcode works in all your other pages then it should also work in this page that you are having troubles with.

Let me know how you go.

    Kind regards

Ok, I was finally able to create a test page and the button worked fine. So I went back and deleted the offending module, saved the site, and readded the module. The button still isn’t working. When you roll your arrow over it, it doesn’t change into a pointy hand (or whatever your computer version of that is). The odd thing is, if you roll over the credit card graphics, it works, and takes you to the PayPal donation page. And it’s still working on mobile devices.

    Hi,

Ok, I was finally able to create a test page and the button worked fine.

So does that mean that the plugin worked in the test page?

So I went back and deleted the offending module, saved the site, and readded the module.

Did you delete this plugin or another plugin?

    The button still isn’t working.

But you mentioned above that the button was working!

When you roll your arrow over it, it doesn’t change into a pointy hand (or whatever your computer version of that is).

This might be related to the browser you are using. Have you tested different browsers?

There is something in your home page that is probably causing this issue. The buttons work well in other pages but not your homepage. I think it could be a theme homepage issue.

Yes, the plugin worked on the test page.

I deleted the module that contained the PayPal donation button.

The button still isn’t working on the homepage, not the test page.

I did all this in Chrome, which is what a lot of people use to access my site.

So are you saying I have to completely redo my homepage?

    Hi,

So are you saying I have to completely redo my homepage?

I think it would be a great idea since the button works in a test page.

    Kind regards.
