Just trying to do something basic and totally lost

Hi,
I am just trying to give an access to all the blog visitors to all the pdf and avi files that are in wp-content/uploads/ (no matter sub directories names)
How can I do something like that ?
Sorry for this noob question, but I could not find out the solution by myself ( I was able to do that in a specifi rep)
