One of my website is running simplicity theme and i’m getting the fatal error as well
Thanks for letting us know, we’ll check that out
Could you link to the theme you use? I found at least 3 different Simplicity themes for WordPress and I don’t know which is causing you problems.
Hi seannevo,
it seems that your theme is overwriting Jigoshop files.
Please contact theme author to check theme and make it compatible with newest jigoshop. In the meantime, you can revert to 1.8.6
If you’d have trouble with theme support – let us know via [email protected] and we’ll provide a quote for fix on our end.
@optart -which one of my websites are you referring to?
I refer to error copied above – it was @elitistdogg, sorry.
If you have same error – reason lays probably in same thing
Thanks optart.
This is the error i’m getting. The website is http://nevo-hair-design.com.au/shop/
Currently running Jigoshop 1.8.4
Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘Exception’ with message ‘fetch – <b>MySQL server has gone away</b>

Hi seannevo,
– please use always latest version of jigoshop
– that’s not jigoshop error – “server has gone away” in slider – try contacting theme author to see if he can help with that.
problems started after I upgraded to 1.9.3 was getting –
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home4/****/public_html/***.com/wp-content/plugins/jigoshop/plugins/jigoshop-web-optimization-system/jigoshop-web-optimization.php on line 32
had to revert back to previous 1.8.4
this error means that you have too old PHP version – required one is 5.3. see first sticky topic on this support forum for further details.
No worries will do. Thank you.
@optart
Any idea what files would be getting messed with? does that error message imply a certain file?
Unfortunately their support is pretty lack luster. Currently working on a bunch of other things, but might get a quote from you to fix in the near future.
thank you again
@elitistdogg
– if you have enabled jwos – try disabling to check if it helps
– if you have in your theme “jigoshop” directory – try changing it’s name (note: it will remove changes your theme does to jigoshop outlook so it may change product page, cart and other jigoshop sites outlook). if that’s it – you may try to change name only for particular files within this directory to see which one is causing error
– if you have in your functions.php some functions with jigoshop in name – you may try removing them as well as they may be overwriting jigoshop ones.
every theme is different so it’s hard to provide more detailed instruction.
Contacted the theme developers.
Thank you
