Hi there
Thank you for getting in touch, sorry to hear you are having issues with the plugin.
Unfortunately, you would need to speak to your host regarding this issue.
Our plugin does not implement any kind of custom update mechanism. The updates are controlled exclusively by your WordPress installation and by the WordPress plugin repo. Our plugin doesn’t modify or otherwise interfere with this mechanism.
It looks like there may be a connection issue between your site and WordPress’ update server.
Do you see the same issue with any other plugins?
Kind regards
– Perry
Hi,
Thanks for your response. It’s very unusual, because this has been happening for potentially the last 10 versions of this plugin, but not hosted by the one single company. My sites are hosted across various hosting companies (e.g. Siteground and Hostpapa to name 2), and on different occasions I get this same error code.
Unfortunately, it is not consistent and sometimes it works fine, other times it doesn’t. This recent update, 2 out of 10 updates failed on the first run. Yes, they were both with the same company (Siteground) on this occasion, but it’s not always the case.
Anyway, I’ll keep an eye on it, but I thought I’d let you guys know, just in case.
And to answer your question, No I haven’t had this issue with any other plugin.
Regards,
Steve
Hi Steve
Thank you very much for that, if it does keep happening we can potentially take a look at your WordPress installation considering it only happens with our plugin.
There’s not a great deal else we can say I’m afraid – as we previously stated, this is all taken care of by the WordPress core and it’s nothing to do with our plugin.
If there are any other common factors, such as security software, please do let us know, otherwise we’ll wait to see what happens.
Kind regards
– Perry
