    It sounds like an issue caused by cache plugins.

    @changeagent WP Maintenance Mode has no control over cache plugins. You should try to disable the cache plugin you’re using and see what happens.

    Hi @georgejipa, thanks. Decided this AM to swop to Coming Soon Page, which I use on other sites since years, without these type problems.

    @changeagent You’re welcome!

    I’m sure that the caching plugin is causing the issue. So it’s hard to believe that other plugin will work differently because all these coming soon/maintenance plugins work in the same way, but it’s your choice. 🙂

    Could be I do not know how they work. I know that the other one has no problems with the caching plugin. I have a unused Domain that it runs on for years and no problems. here to is a caching plugin installed.

    anyway thanks for your help and advise. much appreciated.
