Keyboard controls + NVDA

    Hello, big fan of the plugin, used it on multiple websites but now I’m running into problems when it comes to accessibility.

    I inserted the language switcher via shortcode. However, its not reachable via tab and even when I give it the taborder property you can’t open the dropdown or choose a language. I can somehow hack my way into opening the dropdown by keyboard, but as soon as NVDA is running it stops my keyboard input for the dropdown-element.

    Are there any updates planned in that regard or is there maybe something I overlooked to make this work with keyboard controls?

    Hi,

    You will need our paid version and also you will need to use a simpler widget look like Dropdown, Flags with languages names/codes, Language names codes.

    Unfortunately we have not implemented keyboard navigation in the free version.

    Hi thanks for the quick reply!

    Is the “custom” paid version enough for the keyboard navigation to start working or do we need “startup” or “business”? Also what do you mean by simpler widget? The one I have in this instance is generated through the shortcode and is already quite a simple one being a dropdown with flags and language codes, right?

    Any paid plan will be OK. I have provided examples of simpler widget looks, use the one with less effects so you can control it with keyboard.
