Labels: language problem
-
Hello,
the labeling of the cities of the map is in english instead of german. For example “Köln” is given as “Cologne”, “München” as “Munich”.
How can I solve this problem?Thank you very much in advance!

Use the tiles from openstreetmap.de:
https://{s}.tile.openstreetmap.de/{z}/{x}/{y}.pngHi hupe13,
the plugin doesn’t offer many possibilities for modification.
Could you explain it a bit, please?
Thanks in advance! You have asked this before. Do you have an URL to your (test) page?
You can define the tiles in the Leaflet Map settings.OMG, you’re right, I’ve forgotten this old thread totally 😉
The website isn’t public because I’m working still on it. I’m not using a cache. But I will try your suggestion again tomorrow. 🙂If you want use more than one tile server, you can use Extensions for Leaflet Map, a (german) docu is here.
😉Hi hupe13,
it’s working now, the labels are in german language, thank you!
But unfortunately the map has a very bad resolution now (see Screenshot).

Is a better resolution available? The tiles are loaded depending on the zoom. Do you see anything in the developer console?
Check your zoom settings: zoom, max_zoom, min_zoom in Leaflet Map settings and / or in the actual map.Hi hupe13,
I can’t play with the zoom-values, it has to be exactly 7.
I’ve found this thread, where people are using a hack to improve the view quality. Unfortunately it’s without the wordpress-plugin, so I don’t know how to install it.
-> https://github.com/react-native-maps/react-native-maps/issues/3388
Could you give me a tipp, how to use this hack?
Thank you in advance! Are you using a retina display? There is an option for this:
[leaflet-map detect-retina]On mobile view it looks good. But on desktop view it looks terrible (see screenshot).
Hi hupe13,
I just can’t find a solution. On my mobile the maps look ok (not too blurry), but on my desktop-browsers the blur is terrible. I found out that the maps are zoomed up there. I played around with the settings (sizes, retina, min-zoom, max-zoom etc.) but nothing worked. When I use chrome developer tool to show the original-leaflet-image-tile in a new tab, the resolution is ok.
By the way, maybe it’s better to use leaflet outside of the plugin to have more options? There are a few code-examples in the internet, but I didn’t find a way to use the geocoder Nominatim or to set german language.
I’ve seen also, that mapbox v1 is still free and available, but even there I could not find a way to use the geocoder and the german language.
Do you have any advice for me that could help me? Thank you very much in advance!
I guess some
<div>is too small for the desktop, so the map is enlarged in this<div>.
But without seeing it, it becomes difficult. Can you send me a mail?Hi hupe13, where can I find you email-address on this page?
By the way, if I could make it as on your page https://leafext.de/doku/gesture/, everything would be perfect 🙂

My settings for the map you can see here.
(Da steht zwar “Deine”, aber das ist nur von der Hilfeseite des Plugins, die Du als Admin siehst.)Hi hupe13,
your tip to reset the settings to default solved the problem, thank you very much 🙂 -
