Does anyone experience on lag time on the feed?

I am using the plugin to pull latest forum posting (ipboard ) to appear on the front page ( wordpress ) of my site. But it has the lag time of 8 hours before the late post from the forum appears on my front page.

Does it has to do with my server or some settings with the plugin.

Right, the plugin use the default Feed cache of WordPress, only all 12 hours was refrshed. If you will change this, then add the follow line to a custom plugin.

add_filter( 'wp_feed_cache_transient_lifetime', create_function( '$a', 'return 1800;' ) );
