ok so i would like to have my landing page without links to my other pages. does anybody know how to do that?

I would like to know how to do the same thing.

I want a static contact page until the rest of the site is approved by the client. I would like to keep working on the site and have something that people can look at but not get into.

Choose Settings > Reading and set your home page to your static page. Just make sure that all the nav links are hidden on that page.
