• Hi guys,

I’m trying to figure out how I can change the “continue reading” into another language using CSS. Also at the bottom of every blog I find the text “permalink” I would like to get rid of that aswell.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Nick

Hi Nick, which language are you writing in so that I can check the translations?

Also, at Settings > General, which Site Language do you have set?

    Hi sacredpath,

I would like to write in dutch. The website language is already set to the Netherlands.
Would you have a easy solution for this?

    Thanks.

Hi, the Dutch translation for Sela is at 87%. If you should feel like it, you could help with the translations for your language by going to https://translate.wordpress.com.

There are a couple of tricks with CSS that can be used, but they are not optimal, and it would be best to help out with the translations, if you are willing.

Thanks, I will definitely have a look into that.

You are welcome. It might be that the translation update doesn’t happen until we do a general theme update. I’m asking about that, but all the people who would know are gone for the day. As soon as I hear back on that, I’ll let you know. If it has to wait for a general update, I can give you the procedure for updating those language files yourself. It’s not difficult and involves downloading the theme from WordPress.com and then pulling out the .po and .mo files for your language and replacing them in your theme files. Again, not hard to do.

As far as I can see the the has been translated completely. Do you have any idea when I can expect an update?
Otherwise I would like to know how the procedure works if you could tell me how 🙂
    Appreciate it, thanks!

To add the latest Dutch translations in Sela, you’ll need to follow a few steps.
    1. To add a Dutch language file for Sela to your site, first head to GlotPress:
    https://translate.wordpress.com/projects/wpcom/themes/sela/nl/default/
    2. From the dropdown menu at the bottom, choose the .mo file format option, and click Export to download the Dutch translation file and save it on your hard drive:
    Translations Polish Sela GlotPress
    3. Rename the file sela-nl_NL.mo on your hard drive.
    4. Upload the file to your site in this spot in your WordPress install:
    /wp-content/languages/themes/sela-nl_NL.mo

Let me know if you have any problems.

Apparently my previous reply with the instructions is being held in moderation here in the forum. Hopefully someone will get to it shortly.

    That’s amazing it worked!
It was indeed very simple to change.
Thanks very much for your help.
I might change some translations here and there but i’m happy for now.

    Cheers.
