I still need help with this one, thanks!
When a user sets the language on a page, it shouldn’t go back to the default language when entering another page on the website.
Hi !
I have exactly the same issue.
As a reader, once I select a language, I get the language requested and the menu appear in the right language.
But as soon as I select an other page from the menu, it comes back to the default language, and the menu comes back to the default language too…
I would like my visitors not to have to select the language everytime they want to see an other page.
Once you select a language, it should keep your selection during all your navigation, I am right ?
Would be great if someone has any idea to address that…
Except this little issue, it’s an excellent pluggin!
I’ve created menus for all the languages that I have, and I’m changing the URLs for each menu. In that way, once you select a language, it won’t go back to the default one.
Hello Andreas,
I have the same problem.
I also created a menu for every language I have but I don’t understand what you mean by changing the URLs for each menu.
Thanks!
Hi , i have almost but slightly different problem. i have 2 languages on my WP website: Dutch and English, the first one is the default one. I have translated all my dutch pages in english and created 2 menus (one with the dutch pages and 1 with the English pages). there is a language switch at the end of each menu to switch to the other language. Everything work perfectly as long as i select menu items without a submenu. the menu remains in English setting after selecting the english language switch. but as soon as i select a submenu item in the english meny, the menu itself switches back to the dutch menu, which is obviously not what i want.
any hints?
thanks, peter
