what area is not the correct language? The back-end interface or the countdown that is displayed on the front end?

You might want to participate in translating the plugin into Italian here:
    https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/locale/it/default/wp-plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget

    Hi,
    I’m having the same problem.

    • I’ve added the translation files as downloaded (with the file name t-countdown-pt-BR as downloaded) to the
      wp-content/languages/plugins/ directory. – no joy
    • Added define (‘WPLANG’, ‘pt_BR’); to the config file
    • changed the name to t-countdown-pt_BR – no joy
    • changed the name to jquery-t-countdown-widget-pt_BR (same as plugin directory name) – no joy
    • added the translation files (with the file name t-countdown-pt-BR as downloaded) to the
      wp-content/plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget/languages/ directory – no joy
    • changed the name to t-countdown-pt_BR – no joy
    • changed the name to jquery-t-countdown-widget-pt_BR (same as plugin directory name) – no joy

Not sure what else I can try. Would love some help figuring out what I’m missing. Thanks in advance for the great plugin and any help you can give me!

    Hello!
Ok, here is the process for the new way of doing things.
    Step One:
Make sure your Brazilian Portuguese translations are entered here:
    https://translate.ww.wp.xz.cn/locale/pt-br/default/wp-plugins/jquery-t-countdown-widget

    Step Two:
The translations will need to be approved. Let me know if you are a native speaker, and would like to be granted approval privileges, and we’ll get you set up.

    Step Three:
In your wordpress dashboard, there will be an update available under ‘translations’.
You simply update the translations and you are done.

No more installing or updating .po or .mo files.
    Does this help?

    Hi Baden!

    Step One:
I checked for the pt-BR translations in the link you sent and the weeks, days, etc… are already translated.

    Step Two:
    They seem to be approved.
I am a native speaker and I would be happy to help out translating/approving the rest of the strings. 🙂

    Step Three
Is this a future feature or should this be available already?

No more .po and .mo files is great!
    Thanks for your prompt response!

if all you want to translate is the titles for weeks, days, etc… this can be done within the plugin under Dashboard > Settings > T(-) Countdown > Titles

The translations will set the initial default values for these titles. once they have been stored in the db, they will not automatically be updated with a translation update.

    Hope that helps!
    Issue marked as resolved.

Added “ImagineNation Cultura Criativa” as translator.
