Language Error: Theme still in wrong language

Hi there,

I know that there are many topics for changing my wordpress theme to my language. I also checked all the topics how to change the wp-config.php – but it didn’t help me.

Obviously, I wanted to change my theme (Journey) language from English to German. In my menu, I have the option to set ‘German’ as my language, but the Frontend is still in English.

Then I tried to edit the wp-config.php, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to download it for editing and now I don’t have any access to the FTP server at all (it says: no data was transferred). Programs like FileZilla can’t connect, too.

I also translated my theme with the php designer and saved it in a mo and po file, but I can’t bring the file into my FTP because I have no access to it anymore (I don’t know why).

I have no idea how to change the language of my theme now. I spent days looking for it with no result.

It’ll be so lovely if somebody could help me!
