Language problems with comments

    I am having a weird issue my site where if arabic or thai is used inside the comment and/or the description, it will revert to what looks like a crazy mess.

    I have created a few temp posts with the same text inside of all fields and this only happens inside the comment and description boxes. If I open my database and manually input the text into the fields it works 100%.

    I know its a UTF-8 issue and I have gone through my SQL server to verify its working 100% and it is. I did check all my plugins and here is no issues there. I am just not sure what could be causing this.

    I found the problem. My database was set to use general UTF-8. I just had to change it to UniCode to fix it.

    Strange how it only only effected comments and titles, but not anything else. I am thinking it was due to string lengths.

    I should also not that I only changed it to unicode inside wp_posts, wp_terms and tax, and also the comments only.

    don’t try to mess with it inside the meta field or you are asking for trouble.
