I expect the same result as you. If not, this is either a conflict with your theme or a plugin, or a bug.
Could you test with a default theme and Polylang as the only activated plugin?
Could you report your permalink settings and Polylang settings?
Hi,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I tried with all plugins deactivated and the twenty-ten theme, but I don’t see a change in the RSS content. I actually do not understand how it could work.
If the default feed URL is http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2, would there be different/separate feeds generated for each language declared in Polylang ?
In this sandbox instance, i have permalinks as default:
http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?p=123
Polylang settings:
– default language: français
– language is set from content
– remove language in pretty permalinks
– allow to synchronize categories
Thanks a lot for the help.
I have a separate question which I will ask in a dedicated thread 🙂

In fact, your English feed will be http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2&lang=en and your French feed will be http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2&lang=fr.
When you don’t hide the default language, http://www.asphalte.ch/news-english/?feed=rss2 does not filter posts.
If you add a link to the feed (for example using the widget “meta”), then the language should be correctly set according to the page currently browsed.
Perfectly clear now, thanks a lot for your patience !
Getting readier to go live with Polylang !
