Large discrepancy between plugin reporting and Google Analytics

    Hello,

    First off, thanks for the amazing plugin – it’s really intuitive and just great to use in general. However, ever since I installed the plugin I’ve been noticing large discrepancies between what the plugin reports and what Google Analytics does; the plugin is reporting more views than GA for every story, and in one instance even reported 400% higher than GA (although it varies).

    Do you know why this might be happening?

    Hi @etchen21,

    This topic has been discussed before a few times, even recently. My official stance on the matter can be found here.

    With that being said, I’d double check that the Google Tag Manager code has been correctly inserted & configured on your site and that there’s nothing interfering with it (like other JS code causing errors and preventing its correct execution, etc).
