    Hey guys

I am experiencing a weird thing via test sites like pingdom to test how fast my website is.

I have uploaded images which are 1900×1200 but are 250kb or less. When running for example https://jasdipsagu.com/beauty I am seeing file sizes of images which are much bigger than the ones I have originally uploaded. I,e, 1 image I uploaded to WP is 201kb but on Pingdom it is showing as 380.1 kB…

I am running EWWW image optimiser which says it has reduced most images but still am finding it strange that image filesizes are coming out bigger than the uploaded ones. Why is this? :/

    Thanks
    Jas

Pingdom caches the results, so unless you tell it to flush it every time, you might get weird results.
I just did a test of that page myself on pingdom, and pagespeed insights, and everything looks pretty good. The largest image shown on pingdom is just under 200kb, which is one of two images pagespeed complains about (it’s your profile pic at the bottom of the page).
