When editing a table made by another user, the “Last Modified” field updates the timestamp correctly, but it still claims the edit was made by the person who originally authored the table.

    E.g.:

    Last Modified:March 2, 2023 12:20 pm by John Smith

This is creating a certain amount of anxiety, as John Smith might have had his access removed from the site (set to a Subscriber role, etc), yet the plugin claims he is making edits.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

In order for me to check this: How are you generating that output? What’s the full [table-info /] Shortcode that you are using for this? Or are you referring to the “Table Information” section on the “Edit” screen here?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Hey Tobias! Thank you for the quick response and apologies for not clarifying. I am referring to the “Table Information” section on the “Edit” screen.

    Hi,

thanks a lot for this report and the explanation! I can confirm this wrong behavior.

This is a bug that was introduced in TablePress 2.0, where updating the user was not properly implemented. This will be fixed in TablePress 2.1 that’s coming very soon!

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
