Hi everyone,
Important: Are there still counting issues with the most recent version of the WP Statistics plugin, version 12.5.7?
I see they added cache plugin support not too long ago; could that be the problem? Wouldn’t it just use JavaScript to count instead, if/when caching is enabled?
Currently evaluating this plugin – trying to find a private, self-hosted stats solution for a WP site.
Thanks!
Hi @bliss7 …
Have you tried the new/latest Version: 12.6 of this plugin, and has it addressed the issues you posted about?
Thanks!
@roam92
No, I am still holding on to version 12.4.3 for many sites, and if there comes the time when the plugin is insecure, I will delete them all off.
I only updated to 12.6 for some sites, and ever since, those sites report much lower numbers than they used to, which I know are NOT accurate, as they do not line up with the numbers given by Google or AW Stats.
12.4.3 was the last proper working version.
@bliss7
Thank you so much for your fast response. That’s a bit disappointing to hear.
Quick question: Does version 12.4.3 fully support WordPress page caching?
(I’m using the nginx fastcgi cache module for server-level caching.)
Thanks again!
@roam92
Version 12.4.3 does use page caching. No problems there at all.
I’m using Litespeed server caching plugin.
Thank you for that, @bliss7
@mostafas1990 – As the plugin author, do you have any comment or explanation regarding differences in operation between versions 12.4.3 and 12.6?
Thanks again.
