Hi,
I’ve encountered multiple times an annoying error when I’m trying to optimize images with your plugin.
Sometimes, optimization fails with the following message
Latest error: Error while connecting: Empty reply from server (#52)
I’ve noticed that only images heavier than 400 kB are affected by this error and I don’t recognize where it’s generated.
My website is also unreachable when I’m trying to optimize those images, so I thought it’s related to my server configuration.
I’m on a WordPress installation created by a third party service, so I don’t know I can change something on my configuration, anyway any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi @soniclegacy,

Does this happen consistently with the same image? If so, would you be able to share the image? You can also send it privately to [email protected]

If you retry a failed image does it work? If so, it could indicate a temporary connection issue.

If possible, I’d like some more details. Could you share the output of “phpinfo” with us? You can generate this report with a plugin like this: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-serverinfo/
After you installed the plugin go to WP-Admin -> Dashboard -> WP-ServerInfo and click “Display PHP information”. You can send this report privately to [email protected]
