• Updated to latest evolve theme a couple of days ago. Two major problems:
    1. The menu on Desktops: when you click on a first level menu item, the expanded menu now fills the whole screen and has the whole set of menu pages in it for all 1st level menu items, instead of just showing the sub menu for the menu item you selected. (Works OK on iPad, possibly better than before, but in the process, the menu on desktop version has broken)
    2. Compatibility problem with Google Analyticator – I have to switch Analyticator off to allow access to Customise and manage Widgets.
If this is not an easy fix, how can I roll back to previous version?

  • Hi,

    Use this download link.
    https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/theme/evolve.3.6.3.zip
Change the version number to your required version.

    Thank you

Thanks, I’ve downloaded the zip file. I can’t see how to install it from the WordPress Dashboard? Maybe I’m being thick, or do I need to speak to the person who has CPanel access for the site?

    Hi,

    Please refer to this article.
    http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-install-a-wordpress-theme/

Look at the section on “Install a Theme by using Upload Method from WordPress Admin”

    Thank you

    So I tried this.

First problem was that my Mac automatically unzips the download, so I needed to compress the folder again.

Second problem is that the upload exceeds the allowed upload file size for the site: “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”

    What now?

You need to increase your PHP values.
Your upload_max_filesize has to be greater than evolve theme’s zip file size.
I think yours is only 2M

Show your web hosting company the following values.
Ask them for help to increase your PHP values to the following example.

    max_execution_time 60
    memory_limit 128M
    post_max_size 32M
    upload_max_filesize 32M

    Thank you
