After a ton of research, coding and un-coding, I am admitting defeat and coming to you all for help! 😉

We are building a website that is WP based using the Revolution Pro theme. We are also using Vbulletin forum software. Our goal is to get recent forum posts to show on a specific section of the main WP page.

I have tried RSS, Java and Widgets.

The theme I am using is supposedly widget ready. I have configured the widget with the correct address to the output feeds from vB to no avail.

The RSS code on the vB site asks to place the code under the PHP header of whatever page I want it posted on. This is confusing because the template manager is broken up into sections and the section I want the RSS feed to appear does not have a PHP header (I tried the code regardless just to see and it didn’t work).

Java. At one point I was able to have Java display the latest posts, but they were not linkable. Just static text with the post names with no way for the reader to access the posts thru that section.

note* I have enabled both Java and RSS in the vB External Data provider section.

So, has anyone else tried to pull their latest forum posts into WP with success or is using WP with vB specifically? I find a lot of info for pulling that data into html or php pages but not WP specifically. The one thread I did find regarding WP and vB suggested the use of widgets – which I mentioned above and did not seem to work.
