Latest posts do not display after migrate

Hi, I have migrated my blog via the xml file from a wordpress.com site to my self hosted wp blog. The problem is that my front page does not show my latest posts but rather only shows the pagination links. The content has moved well including links, categories and images. Also the settings are set to display latest posts in home page.

Even if I publish a post in my new blog it does not display…although the recent posts widget will display thee links to the posts in the sidebar. the free blog is Kobimgani on WordPress.com while the self-hosted blog is kobimgani self-hosted blog. Kindly assist.
