Latest version is broken
-
The flyout menu stopped working with the latest update in two ways. First, on some pages I’m trying to put the upPrev code in manually, using the code I’ve always used, namely:
[upprev] See also: [Name of page, with link] [/upprev]That code is now appearing on the page, instead of generating the fly-out menu.
Second, upPrev now seems to be working on some posts/custom post types, but not all of them, even though I’ve checked all of them.
Third, when it does appear, the “close” button doesn’t work on the flyout menu.
Can we please get a fix for this?
Here’s a link to my site, if that’s helpful:

Dear CarolWP
Are you sure you are using this plugin?
upPrev do not have shortcode 😉
I suppose you are using this plugin:
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/upprev-nytimes-style-next-post-jquery-animated-fly-in-button/
They reanimate old, bugged plugin by code of this plugin. Even left me as author, but I have nothing to do with this other plugin.
Please just ask the other guys.
Cheers,
MarcinHmm, no idea why the old plugin updated to yours. But I clearly have yours now. (I followed the link from the plugin on my site to here.) So I’ve just deleted the old shortcodes, and am using the settings to select which post types get the flyout.

Yes, I know why.
They just take code from my plugin, without change the name. You update their plugin to mine.
Marcin
In this version:
They used this plugin name and everybody who had they plugin was updated to this.
