I have the same issue from my end. After updating the plugin my text widget is missing. Now i am in trouble with my website.
I am having a similar problem. Is there a way to download the previous version?
The widgets don’t actually “disappear,” but the widgets’ background becomes transparent instead of white. On my site, this makes the text invisible because of site’s overall dark background. This is happening in text widgets and HTML widgets. It’s also throwing off the layout somewhat — the vertical spacing between widgets is gone.
I have at least temporarily switched to WordPress’s AMP plugin, and that has solved everything.

Unfortunately, I can’t have the site with the missing text online. Visitors will not see the site’s content. For now, the plugin is disabled. I will contact you at the email address to see if there’s anything else I can do to help debug it.
Just noticed it too! Maaaaassive problem and trouble for me editing my page causing a lot of headache. Sorry but this was a disaster 🙁
