    Hi,
Is it possible to set a popup in a menu and make that if the user closes (or uses) what the popup offers, then it takes him automatically to the page he was trying to visit?

I want to set a popup only as a suggestion for subscribing a newsletter, but what I have achieved so far is to store the cookie (so it doesn’t bother anymore), but then you have to click again on the menu to go to the page.

My site is not finished so I can’t give you a link, sorry.

    Thanks

  • Hello @elrocho:

I just tried out what you’re trying to do in my local development test and I couldn’t get it to work. What I think you’re trying to do is this:

    1) Set a popup on one navigation menu item using ‘Appearances’ >> ‘Menu’ >> {name-of-menu-item} >> ‘Trigger A Popup (select from drop-down list of popups)’.

    2) Trigger the popup to open via clicking on the nav menu item

    3) Give users an option within your popup to skip the form submit and proceed directly to the page url from the nav menu.

Since I’m not able to duplicate what you’re trying to do, let me suggest the following: Rethink your strategy of how to place the email list signup offer in front of your visitors. Do it some other way than linking to a nav menu item.

    Thanks for your reply.
I hadn’t really explored all the possibilities of the plugin, but after some minutes I found the solution.

Instead of launching the popup when clicking the menu item, I launch it a few ms after the user opens the page that links with that item. This way the page is already loaded, so the users don’t have to click again.

I wasn’t aware of the possibilites I had to set conditions.

    Thank you very much!
