Launching the website

    Hello,

    So I had the website and now I redeveloped it with WordPress.
    Now I am ready to make it go live on the main address (I uploaded and configured WordPress in another directory so that my old website is still running) So the the new website is in public_html/WordPress
    So a few questions came to my mind and I hope you can help to clear them for me

    1. Under general settings in WordPress there is
    WordPress Address(URL) which for my website is http://lvppd.lt/WordPress
    Site Address(URL) whcih is same http://lvppd.lt/WordPress
    now if I change the Site Address to http://lvppd.lt will it start working from the main address right?

    2. Is it better to change general settings to what I am planing to do in 1. or is it better to take all the files from public_html/WordPress and put them all into public_html?
    What is the difference between having a directory for WordPress or just putting everything in public_html?

    Hi,

    Your hosting – domain is pointed probably to /public_html
    So you can change anything in wordpress, it does not affect yourdomain.com if its not directly in that directory.

    So yes, upload all wordpress files to /public_html and change that url in general setting (or wp-config.php)
