Layout and Sidebar

I am running the Genesis Prose Theme (XHTML). I installed the Author Pro Plugin. While adding a book to the Library I realized that there is no option to select the Primary Sidebar nor is there any option to select the Layout style. Since I’m setup to do Primary Sidebar-Content (which is the default for my theme) and the Primary Sidebar is actually a Secondary Sidebar (too long to explain), I get no sidebar on the page – in fact the Page, when displayed, doesn’t even shift the Content to the right as it should according to the Theme default. Is there anything I can do to implement these two functions either through Function.php, Custom CSS, or is there something you have that will do that.
