While creating a single template I do not get the headers of the used theme.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a new builder template of type ‘Single’ (did not test others)
    2) Edit with ‘Elementor’
    3) At the bottom left, select ‘settings’ and ‘default’ at page layout.
    4) Check that the default page layout in ‘site settings > layout’ is set to ‘theme’
    5) Check that you have the header/menu of the theme
    6) Click ‘preview’ changes in elementor and notice that the header is gone.

Also checked it with a regular Elementor page, and this seemed to work as expected.

    Wordpress 6.0
    Elementor 3.6.6
    WooCommerce 6.6.0
    ShopEngine 2.2.2
    Twenty Twenty-Two 1.2

  • Hello @mklomp,
Thanks for reaching out to us.

I appreciate your effort in figuring out the issue and sharing the steps to reproduce the issue. As you know the Twenty Twenty-Two is a block-based theme, Please be informed that the theme doesn’t contain the header.php and footer.php files. The Header and Footer of the Theme are included in the Template of the ShopEngine plugin. Since the Template isn’t getting the header file, for that reason the Header is not showing for the ShopEngine Templates. A block theme works differently compared to a non-block theme.

If you want to display the Header for the ShopEngine Template, you need to choose an Elementor-based theme like Hello Elementor. You can also create a Header for your site using Elementor or any other plugin that provides the facility of creating a Header. In this way, You will be able to create a Header and display that Header on the ShopEngine Templates. I hope you understood the entire matter.

Let me know if there is anything else you need help with. We are always here to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Prosenjit

    Hello @prosenjitbarman,

Thanks for your quick and extensive response. I will have a look at how this works in different themes. What I do not get though is that I do see the correct website in the Elementor editor but it screws up when previewing (or live) the page. I would say that the Elementor editor already would not include the header…. And I also do not get the fact that this is also not the case when editing the same theme in Elementor editor.
