On one website I see the layout options, which allow me to change the aspect and position of the button:

I’ve installed this on a new website, and that panel does not show, leaving me stuck with this:

    Am I missing something here?

    Hello @webdados !

Before digging deeper, I want to make sure I understand the issue correctly.

    1. Can you confirm whether the problem is:
      • A) The layout options are visible in the WordPress admin, but the selected layout is not reflected on the frontend, or
      • B) The settings panel itself is different or missing between the two WordPress dashboards?

To help us narrow this down, could you please share screenshots of the plugin settings page in both WordPress admin dashboards?

Also, please let us know the following details for both sites:

    • WordPress version
    • PHP version

With that information and the screenshots, we’ll be able to identify what’s causing the difference much faster.

    Hey,

    1) It’s B:

    2) Both sites with WordPress and WooCommerce fully updated, PHP 8.3. The site on the left (which does not show the Layout panel) has Social Chat the latest 8.1.6 version and the site on the right (which does show it) has Social Chat 8.1.3 (I’m not confortable to update yet, if it means i’ll lose access to control the layout)

Was this removed from 8.1.3 to 8.1.6?

    Hello @webdados,

    Thanks for the detailed explanationt!

The layout options were not removed. We’ve reorganized the settings UI and moved all design-related options (layout, position, styles) into the Customize tab.

So in 8.1.6, the functionality is still there, just in a different place. Updating will not remove your ability to control the button layout.

By the way, I’d also like to invite you to join the founder users program of a new SaaS we’re launching.
It will allow deploying bots both on the web and on WhatsApp.

If that sounds interesting to you, feel free to reach out to me via linkedin and I’ll be happy to share more details.
