It’s possible you’re not running bxSlider, so go to the Testimonials > Settings, Reset tab and either reset your settings or include the old CSS.
Then flush your website and browser caches.
Thank you for responding.
Indeed, I am not using bxSlider.
Well, resetting the settings didn’t do anything. What do you mean by “include the old CSS”? Where can I include which CSS file?
On what page beyond http://www.3dinyourhands.nl/testimonials/ has the testimonials? Where and how is the display now “messed up”?
Well, I placed the widget in the footer of my website, so pretty much every page has the testimonials.
On the live website you won’t see the problem, because I haven’t updated the plugin there yet (it runs v 2.16.2, which works fine). I always first test plugin updates on the test version of my website I run locally.
But to clear things up here is a screen of how the website looks after enabling the plugin: http://www.3dinyourhands.nl/website-01.jpg
Removing the testimonial widget form my footer repairs the site, but the problem remains on the testimonial page.
Does your error_log say anything?
That looks like a real problem.
Well I haven’t enabled it or I can’t find it.
I just tried the last version before the new update, v2.17.2, and this version also works without any problem. So it must have been something you changed between the last version and the current one. The question, however, is what :).
Seems to me it has to be a styling issue, but I am not a 100% sure on that.
Any way to get me onto your test system or a dev system to debug? If so, please email admin login to [email protected].
Diffs between 2.17.2 and 2.18.0.
I’m afraid I can’t. I use Instant WP to run the website here and it is not forwarded to the internet.
But I managed to solve the problem.
I use the MP Minify plugin (http://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-minify/) to minify my JS and CSS files on load. This plugin caused problems with your CSS. All I needed to do was to exclude your CSS files to be minified by this plugin.
The website works now as it should be.
Thanks for your help anyway.
Great find on the fix. I’ll keep it in mind for the future.
Hey Michael,
I’m sorry it took me so long to respond on your earlier post a few weeks ago. I have been very busy finishing some projects for clients so I haven’t been able to work on the website.
I couldn’t download the version following the link you provided, but I just installed the latest version (2.18.4). Unfortunately the problem isn’t solved, but lucky the plugin is still usable by the way I described above.
Sorry for the confusion, what specifically is the issue now?
URLs and screenshots welcomed. CSS is correctly loaded via enqueue and register functions.
