I’ve just installed the Site Builder plugin with Bento and noticed that in the layout settings, responsive was checked by default and tablet was not checked.

I understand “responsive” to mean that the layout will adjust to all screen sizes. But I’m new at this. If my understanding is correct, am I also correct in assuming that the responsive layout will adjust to tablets of all sizes and I should not check both “responsive” and “tablet” layout in the settings?

    Thanks.

    Hi ellentk1,

The responsive options allow you to specify how the rows are collapsed on mobile and tablet devices. Basically, the tablet layout will allow for two widgets to appear side by side while the mobile layout will only show a single widget per row. You can control when these layouts kick in by adjusting the Tablet Width and Mobile Width.

Thanks, Alex. If I check both options, does the tablet layout override the responsive layout on tablets?

    Hi ellentk1,

The Responsive Layout is basically the mobile layout under a different name. The responsive layout will always override the tablet layout.

That makes sense. Thank you, Alex.
