Layout the form fields in columns

We have several options for customizing the look of the directory.

1) As of 4.0, we now offer Directory Skins (it’s like a WP theme, BUT it only affects your directory and you can keep your existing WP theme with it!). This is the quickest and easiest way to change the look of your directory. These are available for purchase here: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/premium-themes/ They wouldn’t have support for columns out of the box though. You’d have to make a custom theme to do that, which we have documentation for below.

2) Next is custom CSS to do basic tweaks like fonts, spacing and colors. 3) For the more adventurous and layout-based changes, you can override templates: http://docs.businessdirectoryplugin.com/themes/customization.html#how-to-implement-a-template-override And also do more with fields: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/advanced-customization-of-the-list-and-detail-views-of-bd/ This is probably what you’d want to do.
