    Hi,

I’m new to the plugin, but looks awesome so far!

I’ve been customizing a lazy load WP plugin for my site that is built on the popular lazysizes tool on github.

I understand you offer lazy loading as well.

    1. Do you see a strong efficiency / advantage to using your lazy loading functionality within litespeed cache vs using a separate, unrelated WP plugin?

I also just ran into an issue with my lazy load plugin. I just added a Pinterest share button through the Monarch plugin from Elegant Themes. After the share button is clicked, a window pops up to allow you to choose which of the images on the page you want to share on Pinterest. That window does not show my lazy loaded images, just placeholder images instead. So I am going to have to look into a fix for that / follow up with the plugin developer, etc.

    2. Do you have any idea how your lazy loader works with a Pinterest share button and / or specifically the one from the Monarch plugin from Elegant Themes?

    Thanks a lot πŸ™‚

It’s hard to say, since we haven’t compared our lazy load to yours directly, but in general, it’s nice to be able to minimize the number of plugins you have installed.

From what I have read, any Pinterest share button that uses Pinterest’s own script has difficulty with Lazy Load. Specifically, pinmarklet.js. The issue would be on the Pinterest side, unfortunately.

    Hi Lisa,

I opened a support ticket a couple of days back regarding getting GZIP enabled on my server for the β€œimage/svg+xml” file type:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/gzip-enabled-on-server-for-the-image-svgxml-file-type/

I’m seeing some pretty advanced directions on how to do it myself using htaccess, but was assuming this is something lscache would take care of.

Can you please take a look at that support ticket when you get a minute?

    Thanks so much πŸ™‚

    Hi Lisa,

Got another plugin interaction question for you. I am using the Plugin Organizer plugin to disable plugins on pages where they are not used. I asked that developer about potential conflicts with caching plugins I was considering before finding out about LS Cache, and he replied with the below quote. Curious what your thoughts are regarding using that plugin with LS Cache based on his comment:

“Plugin Organizer can change the scripts and css loaded on a page. So it can cause problems with both Autoptimize and W3 Total Cache. They rely on the same plugins being loaded on every page. So if you have a plugin that loads a bunch of javascript and css and you disable it for a page but not for another the caching plugins will recache the page all the time because the content is changing. W3 Total Cache can also prevent a plugin from totally being disabled because it will cache the page and then serve the CSS or scripts from plugins that are not active. Or not serve them from plugins that are active.”

    Thank you Lisa πŸ™‚

So if you have a plugin that loads a bunch of javascript and css and you disable it for a page but not for another [Autoptimize] will recache the page all the time because the content is changing.

That’s not entirely wrong, but not entirely correct either πŸ™‚ Given 5 pages with scripts A+B+C and 3 pages with B+C+D, then AO will have optimized JS ABC for the 5 pages and another optimized JS BCD for the other 3.

    Just thought I’d clarify πŸ˜‰

So would you say Autoptimize plays nicely with Plugin Organizer? With LiteSpeed Cache?

They can, yeah. But it’s all a matter of configuration, (functional and performance) testing and finetuning πŸ™‚

Lisa, any thoughts about whether Plugin Organizer could work with LS Cache?

    Thank you πŸ™‚

    Hi @wprox

Sorry I missed the original question. I was out of town for a few days πŸ™‚

I’m not sure about Plugin Organizer and LSCache… We would need to test it. I feel like the cache function might be ok, but the optimization features, (minify, combine, etc.) might be an issue. It’s just a guess, though.

I’ll ask the team about running a few tests.
