left / right column ads

Hello,
I would like to add 120*600 column ads at the left and right blank sides of a boxed theme..
I am not talking about backround image ad, cause this is possible from theme’s settings. I m talking about float(?) left and right ads.
Is it possible with adrotate to add column ads or it is just a ad manager?
