    The Left “sidebar” seems to be dedicated to a list of Pages. I do not want pages to be listed automatically. I want only some pages to be on the menu. Normally, I hard code the pages I want, but I cannot find where do this on this theme.

    How can I disable the auto-listing of pages and instead insert only the pages I want?

    Actually, I would like to eliminate the left “sidebar” completely and make the post area wider.

    To list only the pages you want, go to Appearance -> Menus. There you can create and set a custom menu that will replace the list of all pages on the left.

    As for hiding the left column completely, there is no way to do that through theme configuration. You would need to modify the theme’s files.

    I have found the code to delete the left column and the place in the css file to widen the post area.
