Easily done…
Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Basic Settings
Look for “Standard Left Sidebar” and select that one. Click Save & Publish.
For widgets, you will now need to put your widgets into the “Blog Left Sidebar” position.
Just a quick follow up… also set the “Single Layout” as “Single Left Sidebar” under Basic Settings too.
Perfect. Thanks. (Way too many places for us to update stuff…but it’s all good! It worked perfectly).
Good to hear 🙂
As for way too many place to update stuff, I like to give a lot of flecible options, but also try not to create too many that it becomes overwhelming if at all possible.
It’s always great to get feedback from end-users either from support or theme reviews…it helps make changes that improves on the theme but also new themes.
I didn’t mean to imply this was a defect – it was meant to reveal how many different places I have to keep in mind when I’m considering additions to the site. Especially when I don’t work on it more than a few times a month.
No worries, I didn’t take it as a defect 🙂
Feedback, either good or bad is always welcome.
