Lessen the space for first post

I’ve partly got this plugin to work (if it does it will be one of the best plugins I’m using!) but I have a couple of issues. One is with the date and author and I’ve posted separately on that but the other is I want to reduce the space between the border box and the first post’s title. Can someone tell me if I can do this? Simple instructions please – I’m delicate 🙂
