• Hi,

    I have converted all files and can see in the media library that the webp and avif files have been created.

    I am not seeing webp or avif files being output though when inspecting the page. I don’t see any added code in the root htaccess file that normally is there when serving nextgen images. I do see the htaccess file in the wp-content folder with the directives there.

    I use a Litespeed server with QUICK CDN but decided I wanted to create the webp and avif files on my server i.e. not pay QUIC for this. When I did use QUIC there was a directive to swap the original image for webp in the htaccess. All image processing is turned off in Litespeed cache.

    Any idea why my site wouldn’t be serving nextgen images? They have been created. I suspect it is the non-existent directive in .htaccess

    Hello @steveni1963

    CompressX’s .htaccess file is in the wp-content directory.

    If it’s a Litespeed server, please note that a Litespeed server requires a service restart for rewrite rules to take effect. So you can try to restart the Litespeed service to make CompressX rewrite rules effective. You can use the command below to restart the server service:

    sudo service lsws restart

    If the above does not resolve the issue, would you please send us a debug zip to support(at)wpvivid.com to help further identify the issue? You can get the debug zip from your website > CompressX > System Info.

    All the best,

    @tonyrobins no it’s not correct.

    Lite Speed Server Enterprise doesn’t need a restart to take effect for rewrite rules.

    Only Open Lite Speed (OLS) requires the restart service.

    Hi @steveni1963

    If the issue persists, it would be helpful for us to further identify the issue if you could send us a debug zip to support(at)wpvivid.com. You can get the debug zip from your website > CompressX > System Info.

    When doing that, please also include a link to this thread to help track the issue.

    All the best,
