Hi, thanks for reaching out.
We’d need to take a look to advise further. The expectation with forum support is that it’s public. If you’re using SiteOrigin Premium we offer email support. Is the line definitely related to Page Builder?
I just removed the background image from the row below the nav and the line is gone. I recropped the top edge of the image, resaved it as a jpeg with no matte, added that background to that row and the line is still there. (The line actually looks kind of like a light colored blue on top of the dark blue background.) So, now I think it has something to do with the background image on the first row when the header is disabled. The line also shows up if I enable the header, but add css to display:none; the header.
Because the site can’t be viewed by the public yet because of it’s nature, I can’t post it here. I understand that you want to make money from the premium support, but this seems to be an actual problem with your plugin and the way the row background image interacts with the disabling of the header.
Thanks for the update.
There isn’t a private link-sharing function on the ww.wp.xz.cn forums. My feedback with regards to the forum being public is the policy of the forum and enforced by the moderators. I’ve seen this come up with the moderators in the past. I understand the position you’re in, we’re happy to help but would need to inspect the page to assist. If you want to make the site temporarily live you could use a link shortener like https://bitly.com/.
Okay, I understand. I have recreated a dumbed down version of the home page so that you can see it without having to see the actual content. Looks like when I removed the main logo and viewed the page before putting in the dummy logo, the line disappeared. But when I added the dummy logo into the page, which is the same sized file as the original, the line reappeared. The logo(s) are placed on the page using SiteOrigin Image widget. Hopefully that makes sense. Here’s a link to the dummy page. https://bit.ly/3tv13tT
Thanks. The background image is just starting to repeat. The blue line is the bottom of the image repeating. You can try editing the row, opening Attributes, and inserting the following in the CSS Declarations field:
background-repeat: no-repeat
That did not work. I also ended it with !important and it didn’t make a difference. And I have the Background Image Display set to Cover, which is what it was also set to before.
Is the declaration still in place? !important shouldn’t be required.
It works now. Must have been a cache thing.
Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you’re making progress.
Thanks for your help. Is this a known issue even with Caver selected that I need to watch out for in the future? Or do you think this was a one off weird glitch?
Sure, no problem. The row setup and theme are interacting. I think it was .site-content that had 40px all-round padding. If I removed that the issue resolved. So yeah, this isn’t something that I can recall coming up before. It’s possible that’s an edge case, the row setup in combination with the theme styling produced this result. I’d have to dive in deeper to be sure. I looked for a bit, the real cause wasn’t immediately obvious. If anything unexpected happens in the future, please, let us know. Thanks π
Sounds good. Thanks for the quick responses. I have reset the site to password protected again, but if you want access, just let me know.
Super, thanks for the offer. All the best with the rest of your project.
