Lightbox not working

    Hi Chris!

    The lightbox option ‘Open full-size image in lightbox’ in the settings does not seem to work properly, because when I click on a picture in the slideshow or the testimonial display page, the image opens full-sized on the same tab, not in a lightbox.

    Is there a lightbox embedded in the Strong Testimonials plugin? Because for all my other images I use FooBox, which also does not seem to work for the featured images displayed with the testimonials. I think it has to do with the formatting of the HTML.

    Hi Marie,

    There is no lightbox embedded in Strong, primarily to ensure a consistent user experience by not superseding any lightboxes already installed.

    Strong simply creates a link to the full-size image which most lightbox plugins interpret properly. I admit (a) I have not tested that extensively and (b) that should be explained better in the plugin.

    In FooBox settings, try enabling FooBox for all image links. Or add

    .testimonial-image

    to the “Specific CSS classes” setting.

    I assume you are using FooBox Pro since you linked to it. The settings I mentioned are not available in the free version. My apologies if I misunderstood.

    I just published version 2.9.4 which is compatible with both the free and pro versions of FooBox without changing any settings.

    Hi Chris,

    Thank you for the fast and detailed response. In the new version, the FooBox lightbox works! Just a comment, maybe you can explain the “Open full-size image in lightbox” option a bit more detailed on the view settings page, it had me thinking there was a lightbox embedded.

    Anyway, thank you very much for the awesome and fast support!
